New Delhi: As a new generation of Indian engineers is getting the chance to pursue their dreams, the country is also seeing a huge rise in job openings for professionals.
The government has recently announced that its workforce will grow at an exponential pace in the next 10 years.
For those who have not been able to secure a job yet, the best way to find a job is to apply online through an online job portal called e-job.
“There are many opportunities in IT services sector,” says Suresh Prasad, head of the Department of IT Services, University of Hyderabad.
“There is no need to travel to other states to find jobs.
The portals are the best tool to get jobs,” he adds.
The portal is set up by a group of entrepreneurs in partnership with Google, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Tata Consultancies.
With the help of the government, the portal has set up a job portal for people who are unemployed in the country.
It offers to find an online employment agency for unemployed people.
Many of the applicants can also apply through their mobile phone or internet access.
For instance, Prasam, an entrepreneur and founder of e-jobs, is looking for someone who is unemployed in Hyderabad to fill the job for a week.
After that, the person will be sent to Hyderabad for a visit.
“We want to create a space for people in the state who are still unemployed,” he says.
According to Prasams data, the state has around 2,400,000 people who have no job and are seeking jobs.
This is an alarming number for a country where unemployment is a common experience.
“This is not an uncommon situation.
In most of the other states of India, you will find around 50,000 jobless people,” he points out.
Another entrepreneur, Kailash Gopinath, has been looking for an IT consultant for three months.
Gopinathan says the country has more than 4.5 million jobless, who are looking for help.
“I have found the best solution to help them find a good job in Hyderabadi,” he explains.
This is also the case with a lot of students.
At the college, we have around 300 students, which means that the college has more students looking for a job than any other part of the country, says Ramesh Gopani, director of the College of Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology.
While most of these students are looking to work as IT consultants, there are also many people looking for other career options.
Ramesh is hopeful that this trend will continue.
“We need to give people the option of working as consultants,” he states.
A big challenge for many Indian engineers will be to find suitable work in the digital sector.
Despite the government offering a good number of opportunities, some of them are still not available.
While job portals like e-jobs are aimed at the job seekers, there is also a need for them to know what is available in the IT services industry.
A job portal is a tool to find job vacancies in the public sector and to find out the skills that are required for the position.
There are a lot more than 20 lakh IT services firms in India and many of them have very poor infrastructure.
According to the government’s job portal, the average number of vacancies in IT is around 1.8 lakh.
Most of these vacancies are for people with a Bachelor’s Degree, but there are other requirements.
Some of the vacancies that are open are as follows: 1) Computer Science Analyst (Computer Science) or Information Technology Specialist (IT) 2) Computer Systems Analyst or Information Systems Analyst (IT/IS) 3) IT Engineer (IT or IS) 4) Software Engineer (Software) 5) Systems Engineer (Data Analytics) 6) IT Developer or IT Developer (Software Development) 7) Network Administrator (Network) 8) Network Engineer or Network Engineer (Network or Network) 9) Software Developer (Design) 10) Developer (Code Development) 11) Developer/Developer (Web Development) 12) Developer or Developer (Web Application Development) 13) Network Systems Analyst, Network Administrator or Network Analyst (Network / IT) 14) Network System Administrator, Network Engineer, Network Developer or Network Developer (Network Services) 15) Network Specialist, Network Operator, Network Technician or Network Technician (Network, Network Systems, Network, Network) 16) Network Manager, Network Controller, Network Architect, Network Security Analyst or Network Security Engineer (Internet Service Provider) 17) Network Security Architect, Software Engineer, Software Developer, Software Security Analyst (Software Security Engineer) 18) Network Architect (Software), Network Security (Security) 19) Software Security Engineer, Application Engineer, Developer (Development), Developer (Programming) 20) Developer(Programming), Software Developer
