The official UFC 196 card has officially begun, but the fight card is still a work in progress.

UFC President Dana White was asked to provide an update on the status of the UFC 196 preliminary card, and he confirmed that there is no final card date for the event.

However, White has confirmed that the UFC has not yet made a final decision on the UFC featherweight championship.

The main event is expected to feature UFC light heavyweight champion Anthony Pettis vs. Demetrious Johnson, with the winner of that bout receiving the belt.

The event will also feature a flyweight bout between Anthony Pettiz vs. Raphael Assuncao, a lightweight bout between Demetrius “Bones” Jones vs. Cody Garbrandt, and a middleweight bout with Glover Teixeira vs. Nick Diaz.

The UFC is set to hold the event at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, in the early morning hours of July 17, 2019.

Tickets are still available for UFC 196 at or at the UFC Events Center.
